THE ROLE
SMC are seeking additional Service Technicians to join a number of projects across the UK.
Whilst working as a Service Technician, you play a crucial part of the maintenance and repair of offshore turbines.
Description
As a Service Technician you will support the annual service & maintenance teams.
Tasks will include:
- Support scheduled maintenance, which can also include HV maintenance activities and paint corrections. This can be under the responsibility of a team lead on the direct drive platform, or both, supporting and leading teams.
- Execute yearly maintenance (basic module, bolt tensioning, etc.)
- Correct administration of inspection reports and/or checklist
- Support unscheduled maintenance activities with regards to:
- Failure finding and/or analysis
- Execution of repair activities
- Support at major component exchanges
Sites Available:
Gwynt Y Mor (3.6MW) – Wales – 14 days / 14 days off
Racebank / Westermost Rough (6.0MW) – Grimsby – 7 days on / 7 days off
REQUIRED SKILLS
- Mechanical / Electrical Background (NVQ Level 3)

- GWO Advanced Rescue & Enhanced First Aid

- Siemens CT Portfolio
- OGUK Medical & Chester Step
- Right to work in the UK
