THE ROLE
Service Technicians
Due to a positive start to 2024, SMC are looking to further increase their pool of Vestas Service Technicians to join our projects within the UK.
Overview
- Support scheduled maintenance, which can also include HV maintenance activities and paint corrections. This can be under the responsibility of a team lead on the direct drive platform, or both, supporting and leading teams.
- Execute yearly maintenance (basic module, bolt tensioning, etc.)
- Correct administration of inspection reports and/or checklist
- Support unscheduled maintenance activities with regards to:
- Failure finding and/or analysis
- Execution of repair activities
- Support at major component exchanges
REQUIRED SKILLS
- Previous service experience preferred
- Previous Vestas Turbine experience
QUALIFICATIONS
- NVQ Level 3 in Mechanical / Electrical Field
- Vestas Experience
- Right to work in the UK
- Full GWO Training (BST & BTT)
- GWO Slinger Banksman
- Medical & Chester Step
- GWO Advanced Rescue Training
- CT (preferred but not essential)
